Traditional Astrology

Western Astrology began circa 2000 BC. Its origins can be traced back to the ancient civilisations of Chaldea and Babylonia.
From there it travelled on to Greece and later on to the Roman Empire.
After the fall of the Roman Empire, it was preserved in the Middle East, from where it returned to medieval Europe in the 12th century AD.
From then on, astrology was successfully practiced in Europe, until it vanished at the beginning of the 18th century due to a shift of the present worldview into a more mechanistic and materialistic direction.

Astrology practiced in Europe between 1200 and 1700 is called Traditional Astrology. One of the most famous astrological authors of this period is William Lilly. He published his renowned book Christian Astrology in 1647. This book became the basis of my studies of Traditional Astrology and remains –in my opinion-one of the best books that have ever been written on astrology.
Traditional Astrology mainly deals with down to earth facts rather than humanistic or psychological interpretations. The predictions that are made are highly accurate as anybody who ever asked a horary question will know.

The branches of Traditional Astrology I am working with are:

Horary Astrology
Specific questions are answered precisely

Natal Astrology
The birth chart is analyzed and future events are predicted

Electional Astrology
The optimum time for an event is found
